YES on Y
Affordable Education. Good Jobs.
Vote YES on Y to protect affordable local education, modernize deteriorating classrooms, and update job training spaces to prepare local students for good-paying jobs – without a lifetime of debt.
Measure Y would help San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College keep affordable education and career training close to home while updating classrooms, labs and training facilities for local students.
Why YES on Y?
San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College serve about 30,000 students each year, preparing nurses, firefighters, skilled workers and other professionals our region depends on. Measure Y would provide locally controlled funding to update classrooms, labs and career training facilities while helping keep quality college education accessible close to home.
Yes on Affordable Education
College costs too much. Even California State Universities and University of California colleges charge 6 to 16 times more than SBCCD— for the same career training our community colleges already offer.
Yes on Y keeps affordable education close to home, saving families money, time, and the cost of gas.
Yes on Y means more education without lifetime of debt – with career training, students, veterans, and families can actually afford.

Yes on Our Fire and Emergency Safety
Wildfires in our region are out of control — the Bridge and Line fires alone burned thousands of acres. We need more trained firefighters and emergency responders now.
The San Bernardino Community College District already trains most of the firefighters, nurses, and EMTs in our region. Yes on Y keeps their training classrooms and equipment up-to-date — so the responders YOU depend on when you call 911 are ready.
Yes on Local Career Training
YES on Y will allow our local colleges to expand the hands-on job training programs close to home that build a stronger workforce in the fields we need most — nursing, teaching, firefighting and skilled trades on which our communities rely.

Yes on Safe Classrooms
Did you know that some classrooms and labs at San Bernardino Valley College, Crafton Hills College and districtwide workforce training programs are over 100 years old and deteriorating every day? Yes on Y will help:
- Remove asbestos and mold
- Repair outdated sewer, electrical and gas lines
- Upgrade pipes to keep drinking water safe
So our students can learn the skills for high-demand careers in safe, up-to-date spaces.
YES on Accountability
By law, Measure Y requires public disclosure of ALL spending, citizen oversight, and annual independent fiscal and performance audits — so your taxpayer dollars are spent exactly as promised.
